I was working on a new album earlier this year when the laptop I was using for production was stolen from my car. While it sucks losing something like this, with a laptop it’s normally only an inconvenience as everything I do professionally and artistically gets backed up online somehow, either via DropBox, or GitHub, or some other “cloud” based storage mechanism. Unfortunately, the project files for the four tracks I’d written for the album weren’t in my dropbox (my fault!), so all I had were the rendered WAVs of some early rough mixes. I was happy with the arrangements and the overall flow of the tracks so I sent them over to Twerk at Audible Oddities with the plea “can you get these sounding cohesive and releasable” - Shawn waved his magic wand and sent back a set of masters that sounded so much better than I imagined they could have. So here it is, the Stolen EP, a journey into long-form lo-fi acid for you, the listener, to lose yourself in. I hope you enjoy the listening experience as much I enjoyed producing it. Thanks again to Adrian at 4-4-2 Music for artwork and for getting the music out into the world.
